Dear Parishioners,

In January we once again appeal to your support through the annual Actie Kerkbalans. Our parish has grown into a lively community, firmly rooted in the tradition of the Roman Rite. This is a cause for great gratitude.

At the same time, the costs of maintenance remain considerable, particularly in view of the urgently needed restoration of the church tower, which requires extensive and costly work. Actie Kerkbalans offers a concrete way for us to share responsibility for our church building together. I wish to stress that all proceeds are used entirely for the benefit of our own parish.

This year, we accompany Actie Kerkbalans with a novena in honour of Saint Agnes, the titular saint of our church and patroness of our parish. In the nine days preceding her feast day on 21 January, we ask for her intercession, that sufficient means may be provided for the preservation of our church. In this way, we unite prayer and responsibility.

Enclosed with this letter you will therefore find a prayer card with the novena to Saint Agnes, which we warmly recommend for personal use and for prayer within the family. Thank you in advance for your prayers and for your financial support of our parish.

+ With my priestly blessing, Father Martin Kromann Knudsen FssP, pastor
