God is with us.
Not a vaccine against the pandemic, but the birth of the child Jesus in Bethlehem gives us hope not to succumb to the discouragement and the sadness that this time of crisis on a worldwide level brings with it. It is the birth of Jesus that brings us the Good News that we are personally loved by God and that He wishes to warm our hearts.
In solidarity with the divine gesture of Light and Love, we can, precisely at Christmas, radiate this spiritual strength that Jesus brought us to our immediate surroundings, to the personal circle of our family, friends and neighbours.
We believe that God, in Jesus, is forever with us and among us, in sorrow and in joy. His presence will always continue to inspire us to be of service and to ensure that our sisters and brothers never need to feel alone.
Let us entrust ourselves to Mary, to the mother of Jesus and our mother, because she will help us at this Christmas feast to recognise the image of God's incarnate Son in the face of our fellow human beings and to live together in peace.
God is with us, this day and all the days of our life.

Kerstgedachte
