The almost square cloth with mountains in the distance

The almost square cloth with mountains in the distance and emptiness in the foreground seeks to evoke rest and silence, fitting the 40 days season and recalling Jesus’ time in the desert.
The liveliness comes from the filled-in scenes, in which people depict their personal journey through their personal desert.
How do you survive that desert? How have you survived it? These are questions we have asked.
During these Lenten meal evenings on Friday we exchanged thoughts about this, in word and/or image: each in his/her own way and all on the same path — with dry stretches of desert and oases.
This desert has become well filled: thank you, enthusiasts!
The circle expresses connectedness and is not closed: there is always room for one more!
Even if you do not necessarily stand within the circle, you still belong!
This attitude, which is certainly recognisable in our parish, thanks to the commitment of many people, comes forth here quite naturally in images.
