Dear readers of our parish magazine,
As announced by the Board in the Autumn Issue and now also in this Christmas Issue (see p. 17), a new regional parish magazine will appear from 1 January 2026 under a new editorial team. We had also already indicated somewhat earlier that we wished to stop the editorial work after 12 years.
We have always done the editorial work with a great deal of pleasure, and the work has also given us much inspiration in exploring subjects in depth.
The first issue was the Christmas Issue of 2013. During those 12 years, the editorial team also included Joris van Gerven (who now does fine work at Sant'Egidio Amsterdam), Rob Polet (who now works at the Platform for Ignatian Spirituality of the Jesuits in Amsterdam), Jaap van Sitteren (who, among other things, provided enjoyable, interesting interviews with parishioners) and Steven Stolte (who, among other things, kept us informed about the fortunes of the Christian communities in China), and of course Hans Bakker (the linchpin of the VVL and later the Emmaus parish, and who, sadly, died suddenly in October 2021, far too young).
We thank everyone for the submission of copy and/or the necessary information, and for the pleasant cooperation all these years!
We wish the new editorial team every success and inspiration in their beautiful and meaningful work!
Finally, we wish you all a very happy holiday season and a beautiful, blessed 2026!

Beste lezers en lezeressen van ons parochieblad,
Zoals aangekondigd door het Bestuur in het Herfstnummer en nu ook in dit Kerstnummer (zie pag. 17), zal per 1 januari 2026 een nieuw regionaal parochieblad verschijnen onder een nieuwe redactie. Wij hadden ook al wat eerder aangegeven na 12 jaar te willen stoppen met het redactiewerk.
Wij hebben het redactiewerk altijd met heel veel plezier gedaan en het werk heeft ons ook bij het verdiepen in onderwerpen veel inspiratie gegeven.
Het eerste nummer was het Kerstnummer van 2013. Tijdens de 12 jaar zaten ook in de redactie Joris van Gerven (die nu heel mooi werk doet bij Sant'Egidio Amsterdam), Rob Polet (die nu werkzaam is bij Platform voor ignatiaanse spiritualiteit van de Jezuïeten in Amsterdam), Jaap van Sitteren (die o.a. leuke, interessante interviews met parochianen verzorgde) en Steven Stolte (die ons o.a. op de hoogte hield van het reilen en zeilen van de Christelijke gemeenschappen in China) en natuurlijk Hans Bakker (de spil binnen de VVL- en later de Emmaüsparochie, en die helaas in oktober 2021 veel te jong plotseling is overleden).
Wij danken een ieder voor de inzending van kopij en/of benodigde gegevens en voor de prettige samenwerking al die jaren!
Wij wensen de nieuwe redactie heel veel succes en inspiratie toe bij hun mooie en zinvolle werk!
Rest ons nog u allen van harte hele fijne feestdagen toe te wensen en een mooi, gezegend 2026!
