Beste parochianen,
Wat is het mooi dat wij samen geloof mogen beleven! Ons geloof is een persoonlijk geschenk van God, maar het blijft nooit alleen binnen ons eigen hart. Het wil naar buiten stralen — in ons gezin, in onze parochie, in onze buurt en in de hele samenleving.
De sociale leer van de Kerk herinnert ons eraan dat wij geroepen zijn om samen te bouwen aan een wereld van rechtvaardigheid, solidariteit en liefde. Geloof betekent dat wij elkaar dragen, dat wij oog hebben voor wie kwetsbaar is, en dat wij samen zorgdragen voor de samenleving en voor de prachtige schepping die ons is toevertrouwd.
Jezus zegt: “Jullie zijn het licht van de wereld. Laat zo jullie licht stralen voor de mensen, opdat zij jullie goede werken zien en jullie Vader in de hemel verheerlijken” (Matteüs 5,14.16). Dat is een uitnodiging om vol vreugde en vertrouwen het geloof in daden om te zetten.
Laten wij dus met enthousiasme Kerk zijn: een gemeenschap die warmte uitstraalt, die openstaat voor de ander, en die met hoop naar de toekomst kijkt. Want wie gelooft, mag licht en vreugde brengen — in kleine gebaren van liefde én in grootse zorg voor de samenleving en de natuur.
Moge dit parochieblad ons allen inspireren om samen ons geloof te laten groeien en te laten bloeien in de wereld om ons heen.
