The baptism of the lord

In today’s readings, we hear that Jesus, with his baptism in the Jordan, confirmed a new beginning of life with a clear sign. This fulfilled a vision of the prophet Isaiah about the Servant of the Lord. In baptism, we are brought to ourselves and take on our true form: chosen by God, devoted to his way to eternal life.
