Van Burgsteden found a place in the Kanaalstraat in Amsterdam … Eventually the community ended up in the presbytery of the empty monastery of the Begijnhof in Amsterdam.

Msgr. Hendriks also addressed Msgr. Van Burgsteden. A fragment from his address: 'From Him, from the Eucharistic Lord, you went out to people with a warm heart, in friendship … it was never about yourself, nor merely about the human aspect; you always took care that it was about contact with Jesus Christ and the Triune God, and that led to the Eucharist.'
After the festive celebration of the Eucharist there was a well-attended reception at the Van der Valk hotel in Haarlem.

Het was vrijdag 15 maart 2024 precies 60 jaar geleden dat mgr. Van Burgsteden priester gewijd is. Ook de bisschop van Haarlem-Amsterdam, mgr. Jan Hendriks en de emeritus bisschop, mgr. Jozef Punt hebben dit jaar een jubileum te vieren (beiden 45 jaar priester). Daarom was er op zondag 29 september een feestelijke dag in Haarlem om de jubilea van deze drie bisschoppen tezamen vieren.
De dag begon onder grote belangstelling met een feestelijke Pontificale Eucharistieviering in de kathedrale basiliek de St. Bavo in Haarlem. De homilie werd gehouden door kardinaal Eijk. Een grote verrassing om de kardinaal specifiek te horen spreken over pater Eymard en over de komst van de paters sacramentijnen naar de stad Amsterdam waar de eucharistie zo een belangrijke plaats inneemt. Enkele zinsneden uit de homilie:
“… Pater Eymard wist zich aan het strenge katholicisme van zijn tijd te ontworstelen doordat hij de eucharistische liefde van Christus ontdekte. … De deur van het hart van pater Eymard stond wagenwijd open voor Christus en dat gold een kleine eeuw later ook voor mgr. Van Burgsteden, sacramentijn in hart en nieren. Pater Eymard wou communiteiten in de grote steden. Daarom zocht mgr. Van Burgsteden een plek voor zijn communiteit in Amsterdam. Dat was nog niet zo gemakkelijk … mgr., Van Burgsteden vond een plek in de Kanaalstraat van Amsterdam … Uiteindelijk kwam de communiteit terecht in de pastorie van het leegstaande klooster van het Begijnhof in Amsterdam.
Dat was voor de sacramentijnen the place to be. Ook mgr. Hendriks’ sprak tot mgr. Van Burgsteden. Een fragment uit zijn betoog: ‘Van Hem uit, vanuit de Eucharistische Heer bent u naar de mensen gegaan met een warm hart, in vriendschap … het draaide nooit om uzelf en ook niet alleen om het menselijk aspect, u droeg er altijd zorg voor dat het ging om een contact met Jezus Christus en de Drieëne God en dat leidde naar de Eucharistie.’
Na de feestelijke eucharistieviering was er een drukbezochte receptie in het Haarlemse Van der Valkhotel.
